Uniform

When your child starts at Sticky Mits, they will receive a red Hoodie style jumper and a cream t-shirt, both embroidered with the nursery logo. They will also receive a red draw string bag embroidered with our logo. These are an optional uniform and provided so that your child's own clothes can be protected from our messy play activities. They are also used as a safety measure. We spend much of our time outdoors playing and short outings around the village. When wearing uniform it is easy to spot those who attend Sticky Mits. The bags also have a reflective strip running across them so easily noticeable in the dark. Should you need to replace any items, they can all be purchased from the nursery manager.

Aprons are provided for use during the messy play activities, but we ask that if you are sending children to nursery in their own clothes that these are not favourites or particularly new- accidents do happen!

We ask all children to wear indoor slippers whilst at nursery and wellington boots when playing outside. Slippers help to keep our floor clean and kicking and squashing accidents to a minimum.

We try to encourage all children to dress/undress themselves, so clothes with simple fastenings would very much be appreciated. If your child is likely to need a change of clothes during their time with us could you please make sure they have some in their bag. We do hold spare clothes at nursery, but our supply is limited. Could all items brought into nursery be clearly named.
