Welcome to Sticky Mits

Sticky Mits is a new venture, headed by Kirstan Oliver and Claire Rumens-Harper. Kirstan’s experience in childcare is vast, ranging from Learning Support Assistant in schools to support work with social services. A mother herself, she understands the importance of choosing the right environment for your child. Kirstan balances that knowledge with her keen interest and experience in education and child care.

Claire has an outstanding knowledge and understanding of the foundation stage national curriculum and is currently implementing the new Early Years foundation stage (EYFS) scheme. She has many years experience in nursery education, holding a variety of rolls encompassing all ages of pre school children.

We are located in Alton, along the A31 between Winchester and Farnham. Alton is a beautiful rural setting, boasting a calm welcoming atmosphere and outstanding views. We are located on Draymans Way opposite the Sainsbury's supermarket.

Our Nursery is headed by both Kirstan and Claire and they are supported by a deputy, nursery nurses and nursery assistants. All our employees are thoroughly police checked by the CRB and each hold qualifications appropriate to their position, are working towards qualifications or have a wealth of experience. Further training is made available to every member of staff which they are encouraged to partake in.

Sticky Mits is dedicated to encouraging every child's development in all areas, offering a wide variety of social, intellectual, physical and emotionally stimulating activities. Every child is offered the opportunity of experiencing all we have to offer and their development is closely recorded by our dedicated team. All children are allocated a key person whose job it is to maintain such records. Parents are encouraged to approach that key individual should they wish to discuss their child's progress, have concerns or simply share in the development of their child.
